Introduction to Restorative Justice
An interactive workshop designed to introduce participants to the key principles of Restorative Justice and how they are aligned with social emotional learning at school, home, and in the community.
Restorative Justice Refresher
Participants will dive deeper into the fundamentals of Restorative Justice. This workshop will equip participants with the skills and knowledge they need to create a safer and more harmonious learning environment.
Parent Workshops
Participants will have an overview of the principles of Restorative Justice to aid in understanding the Peace Circle process and assist in bridging the gap between school, home, and community.
Café
Participants are engaged in discussions and hands-on activities as it relates to specific topics (i.e. desegregation of data and action planning) for utilizing Restorative Justice and the Circle process that range from implementation, outcomes, and evaluative process.
Student Leadership and Peer Conferencing
In the whole school approach, it is important that the students understand what Restorative Justice is and how they can be an active participant in changing the culture and climate within their school and at home.
Resources and Supplemental Information
Additional information is provided to enrich and support the Restorative Justice Workshops and/or discussions had in Cafés and Targeted Supports.
Targeted Support
Targeted support relies on a whole school and/or setting approach for early intervention that focuses on positive relationships and developing strategies within the school or setting. All stakeholders have a significant role to play in promoting a positive and supportive school culture that lends itself to a proactive approach and preventative outlook.
